Hello KIKK galaxy!
naxYs (Namur Institute for Complex Systems at the University of Namur - UNamur) is recruiting one postdoctoral researcher for one year to carry out research work in the context of a collaborative art science project involving naxYs, TRAKK & KIKK team, as well as the collective VOID, a visual and sound art collective based in Brussels.
The main outcome of this project is the design and building of 20 mobile autonomous robots, able to interact with each other using light and sound signals as means of communication The robots are used to create an installation art under the artistic supervision of the Collective VOID. The researcher has to design and build the robots prototype whose characteristics will be defined in collaboration with the Collective VOID.

Profile
• PhD in engineering (or in a field judged equivalent by the selection committee).
• Excellent skills in mechatronics engineering, robotics, electronic engineering.
• Mobility status: the research has not lived/worked in Belgium for more than 24 months in the three years preceding the project starting date.
• A good oral/written communication in English is required. Although the University of Namur is French-speaking institution, knowledge of French is not required for this project.

The application will consist of a CV, with list of publications and names/contact details of three referees and a short letter of motivation illustrating the candidate expertise in the domain of mechatronics.
