Centre for art, exhibition and experimentation

Located at the Citadelle of Namur, Le Pavillon will be unveiled this December in a unique project dedicated to the digital transition.

As a host to the general public, it also pays particular attention to young people and enterprises, especially those in the tourism sector.

On site, visitors will follow a permanent path of discovery of contemporary technologies. And because we believe that knowledge comes through experimentation, our visitors will have the possibility to test, play, hack and tinker with these new technologies.

Le Pavillon questions, analyses and promotes new possibilities related to the digital transformation of society.

Through a programme of thematic exhibitions of contemporary digital art, the presentation of company prototypes and technological innovations, the Pavilion offers the public the opportunity to understand complex topics and discover the intersections between art, science, technology and economics.

Le Pavillon isn’t afraid of bringing through art exhibitions some difficult subjects, as artificial intelligence or deep learning. Because Le Pavillon’s team firmly believes that knowledge is like a piece of cake : it’s so much better when shared (and with a good cup of tea).

Le Pavillon pop-up

March 13 > June 13 2021

For three months, Le Pavillon pop-up will explore a temporary program, so we can - together - bring the most exquisite formula for the upcoming and definitive opening. Inside this pop-up version, you can find an exhibition, a digital playground, some workshops, a discovery week-end to satisfy both your minds and senses.

Through the myth of Creation, the Humans / Machines exhibition sheds light on the deep and complexe connexion between men and machines. This itinerary between Arts and Sciences sometimes questions, sometimes marvels. It may even do both at times.

The Playground is … well … a playground, isn’t it well thought? Through games, little ones and less little ones will (re)discovery their creativity, thanks to some cutting edge digital tools.

And as we are in Belgium, there might a touch of non-sens humor here and there.
