A 3 day locative storytelling hackathon using geo-locative sensor technology (iBeacons).
Develop an experience and explore how layers of digital content can invisibly subvert the experience of an ordinary place. Learn how to tell locative stories that pack a meaningful punch. Cram your brain and body full of experimental possibility. These 3 days will be playful, fast-paced and designed to test the edges of how we tell emotive and exhilarating stories.
We will be using a custom-built app and sets of iBeacons – which can be placed anywhere. This means we can explore both internal and external locations; it is up to you where you want to investigate.
Led by multi-award-winning experience designers Anagram (based in UK). Work includes: Tribeca-winning interactive installation Door Into The Dark, a VR experience telling the story of the Suffragettes Make Noise, and many interactive museum experiences including Nightwatchers at the Tower of London and I Swear To Tell The Truth at Imperial War Museum London. Their work could be anywhere but is always somewhere – a built set or an ancient building – and they engage with you, the participant, in a playful, physical and poetic way; you never leave in quite the same state as you arrived.
